How can I choose an existing saved plan when using terraform to display what that particular plan file contains?

I've saved my plan with a particular filename. I tried terraform plan saved.plan -out=preview plus a show other combinations containing that filename

    terraform plan -out=preview

the "-out" option chooses the name of the generated file. Here that means the output is named "preview". If, for some reason, you need several output files, a rather odd approach could look like this:

    terraform plan -out=preview; cat preview > saved.plan

You can write a saved plan wherever you choose using:

    terraform plan --out=<path>

For looking through that plan, use the show subcommand:

    terraform show <path>

When you're ready to apply it, run this:

    terraform apply <path>
